other protagonists: James Brown, Elisa, Augusto Enriquez Y
Su Mambo Band, Grace Jones, Gino Paoli, Raf, Lou Reed, Sting
and Zucchero. Each artist performed a solo plus a duet
with Pavarotti. All proceeds from Pavarotti & Friends
2002 ticket sales - alongside credit card donations made by
the public throughout the evening - will be presented
through the United Nations High Commissioner For Refugees
(UNHCR) for medical, educational and water facilities to
benefit almost 80,000 Angolan refugees located in the camps
of Mayukwayukwa, Meheba and Ukwimi, in Zambia.
